About the Riverside Inn Bed & Breakfast
Located in East Machias, Maine
History of the Inn
Built in the 1800s, the inn was the former home to two sea captains—Captain William E. Elliott, in the mid-1800s, and Captain James F. Chase, in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Guest rooms are available in the main house (shown at left in above photo) and the coach house (shown at right).
Situated by the East Machias river, and adjacent to the Downeast Sunrise Trail, the Riverside Inn offers convenient access to regional attractions and some of the regions most beautiful scenery. Birding, kayaking, hiking and biking opportunities are plentiful, and area lighthouses are just minutes away.
Each room has its own private bath.
WiFi access is available throughout the inn.
