Common Areas & Garden at the Inn
Riverside Inn B&B in East Machias, Maine
Relax at the Inn
During your stay with us, you'll have the opportunity to step back in time to fully experience life in a well-appointed New England inn. Innkeepers Rocky and Ellen have restored and renovated each of the rooms to reflect the original character of the 1800s era, with the added comfort of modern amenities.
A Stroll Through the Garden
From spring through fall, the garden is alive with the colors and fragrances of annuals and perennials. Eagles and ospreys can often be viewed as they soar above the East Machias River. Garden seating is provided to allow ample time for observation and reflection. Wander down the garden path to the river and then explore the riverbanks by walking along the path provided by the out-of-service railroad tracks.
The Common Areas

Guests have access to the main living areas of the inn, where one can curl up in a comfortable chair near the wood stove in winter, or enjoy the refreshing cool breezes that flow through the inn's open windows on a summer's eve.
Select a book from the inn's library and settle into a comfy chair in the Front Room. Or bring your binoculars to the dining area mid-morning for a river-view bird-watching opportunity.
